Recombinant Human High Affinity IgE Receptor, Alpha - Chain
Recombinant fusion protein consisting of two copies of the extracellular part of human high affinity IgE receptor alpha-chain fused to human serum albumin (HSA). The protein is secreted from a recombinant CHO cell line and specifically binds to human immunoglobulin E (IgE) with affinity comparable to the native IgE receptor expressed on mast cells and basophils (KD < 1nM). Among other applications it can be used as functional reagent in allergy research, mast cell / basophil biology and as analytical tool for detection and quantification of biologically active (= receptor binding) IgE in experimental cell supernatants and body fluids.
Purified from cell culture supernatant by SEC Chromatography on CH-Sepharose 4B column. Activity tested by target biding kinetics (Surface Plasmon Resonance; Biacore™). Target: human IgE(SUS-11); [NBS-C CATALOG# 0911-0-100]
Applications: ELISA, FACS; limited applicability for IgE detection on Western blots. For functional cellular assays (mast cell / basophil activation) the sodium azide free formulation is recommended.
